Bagpipes
The left wrist is used in line with the hand/arm. The One-handed Chanter can be played with either hand.
Baritone / Tenor Horn / Euphonium
The left wrist is fairly static in line with the hand/arm to support the instrument. Floor stands are available to support the instrument.
Clarinet
The left wrist is held in line with the hand/arm. The clarinet can be supported with a Claritie. Or
Use a right-hand only instrument with support.
Electric Guitar / Bass Guitar
Place an instrument in a position where the left-hand can reach the strings to select the notes. Or Use a Chapman Stick/Artiphon Instrument 1 one-handed.
Flute
The left wrist is used in line with hand/arm. Vertical head joints bring the flute into a vertical position. Or use a right-hand only flute.
Recorder
The left wrist is usually held in line with the hand/arm. If this isn’t possible use a right-hand only instrument.
Trombone
The left wrist is used in a fairly static position in line with the arm/hand to support the instrument. Floor stands are available to support the instrument.
Trumpet / Cornet
The left wrist is used in a fairly static position in line with the arm/hand to support the instrument. Floor stands are available to support the instrument.
Ukulele
Strings are plucked with digit(s) on one hand and the note(s) selected with the other. A Strum Buddy allows a ukulele to be played with one hand or an Artiphon Instrument 1 can be used in ‘Tap’ mode so that the finger that selects the pitch of the note also triggers the sound.
