Baritone / Tenor Horn / Euphonium
If you have sufficient digits to support the instrument then no further adaptation will be required, if not a floor stand will take the weight of the instrument.
Clarinet
Bespoke key work can be added where required and holes can be covered. Or Use a right-hand only instrument with a support stand.
Electric Guitar / Bass Guitar
If you have sufficient digits on your right-hand to strum the instrument then no further adaptation will be required. If not, use a Chapman Stick, Artiphon Instrument 1 or attach a plectrum like Tony Memmel.
Flute
Bespoke key work can be added where required and holes can be covered. Or use a right-hand only instrument with a support stand.
Recorder
For a standard recorder you need 3 fingers and a thumb on your left-hand. Otherwise bespoke keys can be added to aid reach or you can use a one-handed recorder.
Trombone
If you have sufficient digits to support the instrument then no further adaptation will be required, if not a floor stand will take the weight of the instrument.
Trumpet / Cornet
If you have sufficient digits to support the instrument then no further adaptation will be required, if not a floor stand will take the weight of the instrument.
Ukulele
Strings are plucked with digit(s) on one hand and the note(s) selected with the other. Strumming can be undertaken with one digit as a minimum. Chords need one digit per note in the chord. A Strum Buddy allows a ukulele to be played with one hand or an Artiphon Instrument 1 can be used to play chords in ‘Smart Strum’ mode with one digit on each side. The instrument can be placed in any position to suit the player.
